Black Love At Its Finest

Single Ladies,

Love is still for the Black woman! Please understand that when I get on here and celebrate my marriage with you I am doing it for two reasons. I do it because I am celebrating GOD’s gift of love to Rick and I. Secondly, I do it to encourage other single women that may have, even, given up on ever meeting the “one”.
I was single for way over 9 years and most of my singlehood wasn’t due to men not wanting me. It was due to me not being ready for healthy love. I wasn’t about to make another horrible decision of loving the wrong person again. I attracted who I was at the moment – so I knew I had to heal before I moved into another serious relationship. There was an issue with me that I had to allow GOD to deal with and I also had to get some professional counseling to work through the many layers of my dysfunction.
If there are some things that you know you need to work on then work on them now! Never enter into a relationship broken. If you attract who you are at the moment then how do you ever expect to have a healthy, meaningful and long-term relationship?
I understand the worry and the concern that time is ticking and after years of singlehood, you start believing the rest of the world. Don’t believe miserable people! I didn’t! I knew that the world was too big for there not to be anyone out there for me. I always held on to promises of GOD to me and I challenge you all to do the same.
There will be plenty of naysayers suggesting that the black woman is too messed up to be in a healthy relationship – well, let’s prove them wrong ladies! Work on you, trust GOD and don’t allow desperation to keep you making the same mistake in men over and over again.
When you meet him because you will – Take your Time! Even after you have healed there still may be some “pretenders” out there too! Take your time.
2 Peter 3:8 New International Version (NIV) 8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord, a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
All Love
